PARADISE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
WORK SESSION MINUTES
OCTOBER 21, 2019
5:13 P.M.


A work session of the Paradise Township Board of Supervisors was held at the Paradise Township Municipal Building, 5912 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, PA.

PRESENT:  Gary Konrath, Reda Briglia, Charles Unangst, Tina Transue and Solicitor Prevoznik.

Konrath called the work session to order at 5:00 p.m.

SFM Consulting
Shawn and Jenn McGlynn from SFM Consulting were in to give an update on zoning. Shawn discussed the Short Term Rental Ordinance and the possibility of amending Zoning to make Short Term Rentals a part of Zoning to make it easier to regulate Short Term Rentals. Shawn was advised of the upcoming joint meeting of the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission to address the Short Term Rental Ordinance on November 6 at 5:00 p.m.
Shawn stated that BIU have not entered any of their building code permits into the Permit Manager program making it difficult to find previous permits that were issued.
Shawn discussed a complaint brought to them about the Poalillo property stating he is using the property as a business use.
Briglia stated that Jacob Schray, Hanover Engineering, brought to her attention that there is no fee in the fee schedule for additions and decks.

PA Dept. of Agriculture/Timber Harvest Information
Briglia stated she received brochures from the PA Dept. of Agriculture on timber harvesting and questioned whether the new Timber Harvest Ordinance was adequate considering the information in the brochure. Solicitor Prevoznik looked at the brochure and said that the Township’s ordinance was sufficient.

Friendly Community Center/Agreement Comments
There was no one from the Friendly Community Center present.

SFM Consulting (Continued)
There was discussion as to which attorney SFM Consulting would use in the process of enforcing Zoning violations in the Township.
