PARADISE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
WORK SESSION MINUTES
FEBRUARY 4, 2019
5:00 P.M.

A work session of the Paradise Township Board of Supervisors was held at the Paradise Township Municipal Building, 5912 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, PA.

PRESENT:  Gary Konrath, Peter Gonze, Reda Briglia, Tina Transue, and Solicitor Prevoznik.

Konrath called the work session to order at 5:00 p.m.

Succession Planning
Briglia stated that she had several items to discuss regarding training Tina Transue as her replacement.  Briglia stated that Transue will be attending the PSATS Convention in April.  Briglia explained the PSATS Municipal Government Academy.  Briglia also stated that her notary will expire in September.  Briglia inquired if the Board wanted Transue to become a notary.  The Board agreed that it is beneficial to have a notary on staff.  Briglia stated that there are several additional education seminars available that would be beneficial for Transue to attend.  The Board discussed several training options including Basic Training for Municipal Secretaries and CDL Records Management.  Briglia stated that additional training opportunities will be available throughout the year through PSATS.  Solicitor Prevoznik also recommended that PELRAS training be considered.   

Township Newsletter       
Transue presented information on the cost of doing the semi-annual newsletter along with information on Savvy Citizen.  The Board discussed if the newsletter is the most efficient way of corresponding with the Township residents.  Transue will follow-up on further information on Savvy Citizen.

Konrath adjourned the work session at 5:50 p.m.
