PARADISE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
WORK SESSION MINUTES
MARCH 16, 2020
5:00 P.M.

A work session of the Paradise Township Board of Supervisors was held at the Paradise Township Municipal Building, 5912 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, PA.

PRESENT:  Gary Konrath, Peter Gonze, Reda Briglia, Ingrid DeWitt, Charles Unangst and Solicitor Prevoznik.

Konrath called the work session to order at 5:08 p.m.
Jason Smith, Hanover Engineering was in attendance to discuss the Mount Airy’s Casino’s Discharge Management Plan and Greenway O & M Annual Report. Mr. Smith handed out an agenda outline for the meeting. Mr. Smith updated the Board on the outstanding items from the Greenway Plan and also the Discharge Management Plan. Mr. Smith discussed the temperature monitoring of the lake and remedies proposed by Mount Airy for management options needed for compliance. Mr. Smith also detailed Mount Airy’s actions for compliance for their Waste Water Treatment Plant. Mr. Smith went over the development and implementation plan for the dam permit that remains to be completed and explained future issues to be addressed moving forward. Mr. Smith explained the long-term O & M monitoring and compliance for the Greenway Land. He suggested that the Township do an inspection on the buffers to confirm that they are developing as proposed and implemented. Konrath stated there would be a future work session with Mount Airy, FX Browne and Jason Smith, Hanover Engineering, date to be determined. Mr. Smith also stated that he updated the Matrix for Mount Airy.
Resident and Brodhead Watershed Association member Edith Stevens was also in attendance.

Konrath adjourned the work session at 5:56 p.m.
