Garbage Collection FAQ's
How do I arrange for garbage pickup?
Paradise Township residents are required by Ordinance to arrange for a private hauler to pick up their garbage and recycling. Garbage must be placed in a metal or hard plastic container. Placing garbage out for collection in plastic bags is a violation of the Ordinance. Scheduling pick up and limits on weight are a private concern between you and your hauler.
How do I get rid of bulk items?
The Township holds two cleanup days each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Residents who bring bulk items to the Municipal Building are not charged (except for tires). Proof of residency is required.
Who provides hazardous waste disposal?
Call the Household Hazardous Waste Hotline at 1-800-449-7587 to schedule a pick-up. Hazardous waste can be identified by CAUTION, COMBUSTIBLE, CORROSIVE, DANGER, EXPLOSIVE, FLAMMABLE, HAZARDOUS, POINONOUS, REACTIVE, TOXIC, WARNING.
Where can I get a recycling bin?
Recycling bins are available at the Municipal Building. Additional bins are $10.00.
