Re-Addressing Status

 INFORMATION AS OF 1/7/2011 

9-1-1 ADDRESSING IS HERE !

 Every residence and business has been assigned an address number that must be posted.  Because of our   rural area, residents must mount the reflective address number signs conspicuously (with numbers on both sides of the sign) at the entrance of every driveway.  Address number signs shall be reflective green signs with reflective white numbers.  The signs must be posted:

· Mounted on a stand-alone post or pole;

· Atop a mailbox (only if the mailbox is located on the same side of the street as the driveway/entrance and only if the mailbox is located at the intersection of the street and the driveway);

· Numbers can be mounted horizontally or vertically;

· Address signs only need to have your address “number”, not your name or street.

 Building number signs for grouped dwellings and non-residential facilities: Apartments, townhouses, shopping centers or other similar groupings where only one number is  assigned shall display such number at the main entranceway.  Numbers for individual units or establishments within the complex shall be displayed on, above or to the side of the main doorway of each unit.  

 All private streets (lanes, roads, etc.) with 2 or more homes will now have a street name, and some streets in the Township have been renamed to eliminate duplication of street names.  Paradise Township has ordered and will be installing the new street name signs.
